The play concerns Catherine, the daughter of a recently deceased mathematical genius in his fifties and professor at the University of Chicago, and her struggle with mathematical genius and mental illness. .
Claire, played by Fanny Lawren, is an efficient, practical, and successful sister. She feels responsible for Catherine’s welfare, but Catherine resents what she sees as Claire’s interference in her life.
