This is a student scene recreation from “Crazy Rich Asians” (2018), a produced script directed by Jon M. Chu. The film follows a native New Yorker Rachel Chu to Singapore to meet her boyfriend’s family.

Eleanor Young, played by Fanny Lawren, is a member of the prominent Young family from Singapore. She is the mother of Nick Young. She is a domineering mother who initially rejects Rachel Chu as her son’s girlfriend, due to the fact that she believes Rachel does not come from a satisfactory background.
