看電影追風箏者後感

今天看過電影 The Kite Runner 追風箏者，故事感人，編寫演釋也好，片中有很多值得深思的對白。其實我很久前當電影剛上畫時都買了該同名小說，寫得真的好，極力推薦。

故事中，兒子指父親喝酒是罪（宗教上）。父親辯稱：

“There is only one sin, only one. And that is theft. Every other sin is a variation of theft… When you kill a man, you steal a life. You steal his wife’s right to a husband, rob his children of a father. When you tell a lie, you steal someone’s right to the truth. When you cheat, you steal the right to fairness… There is no act more wretched than stealing.”

世上只有一種罪，只有一種，就是盜竊。其他的罪，都只是盜竊的變種。當你殺死一個人，你偷去一個生命，你剝奪了他妻子對丈夫的權利，搶去其子女的父親。當你撒謊時，你拿走了人家了解真相的權利。當你作弊時，你奪去公平。沒有行為比偷竊更可恥。

父親慨嘆兒子不夠男子氣慨，友人安慰：

“Children aren’t coloring books. You don’t get to fill them with your favorite colors.”

孩子不是填色冊，不能讓你填上你最喜歡的顏色。

這故事我一定要告訴我的孩子：

“One time, when I was really little, I climbed a tree and ate these green, sour apples. My stomach swelled and became hard like a drum, it hurt a lot. Mother said that if I’d just waited for the apples to ripen, I wouldn’t have become sick. So now, whenever I really want something, I try to remember what she said about the apples.”

一次當我還小時，我爬樹採吃幾個青色的酸蘋果，弄得肚子腫脹，堅硬如鼓，痛得很。母親說，如果我能等待蘋果成熟，我就不會肚痛。到現在，每當我真的很想要一件東西時，我會記住她說的蘋果話。

人們說時間可以沖淡一切，非也：

“It’s wrong what they say about the past, I’ve learned, about how you can bury it. Because the past claws its way out.

他們說過去是可以被埋葬的，我學會了這是錯誤的，歷史是有爪子可爬出來的。

這句對和諧社會很合用 ：

“Quiet is peace. Tranquility. Quiet is turning down the volume knob on life. Silence is pushing the off button. Shutting it down. All of it.”

安靜就是和平，安寧。安靜是把生活中的音量旋鈕調降；沉默卻是按下開關鈕鍵，熄掉一切。
